Ezetimibe Actavis is a medicine used to lower high cholesterol levels.
Ezetimibe Actavis lowers the levels of total cholesterol, ‘bad’ cholesterol (LDL cholesterol) and certain fatty substances in the blood known as triglycerides. In addition, Ezetimibe Actavis increases the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL cholesterol).
Ezetimibe Actavis works by reducing the absorption of cholesterol in the digestive tract.
Ezetimibe Actavis contributes to the cholesterol-lowering effect of statins – a group of medicines that suppress the formation of cholesterol in your body.
